Willie F. Herrón III, Patssi Valdez, and Harry Gamboa Jr. attended the opening reception of Asco: Elite of the Obscure at Williams College Art Museum. Williams College sponsored a symposium that featured conversations with artists Sean Carrillo, Harry Gamboa, Jr., Willie F. Herrón III, Patssi Valdez and scholars Colin Gunckel, Amelia Jones, Amalia Mesa-Bains, and Mario Ontiveros.  Moderated by co-curators C. Ondine Chavoya and Rita Gonzalez.

Harry Gamboa Jr.’s ongoing photography project, Chicano Male Unbonded, was initiated in 1991 and contains images of more than one hundred men.

Many of the photographs in the series have been exhibited at various museums including Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles), The Huntington Library, and Chalon-sur-Saône. (France)
